Ana Cubas

Ana Cubas is the is the Founder, President and CEO of The Latina Public Service Academy (LPSA), a non-profit leadership program for Latina high school students. In 2024, LPSA celebrated its 10th Anniversary, having helped and mentored over 500 young Latinas. Ana is also the Founder, President, and CEO of Ana Cubas Consulting LLC dba Mariposa Consulting which focuses on public outreach, business development, environmental, sustainability services, and public/government affairs. It is certified by the State, LA City and County, LAUSD, LA Metro, and other jurisdictions as a woman owned and minority owned small enterprise. She is also a Board Member of the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce. As an entrepreneur, Ana has over 20 years of experience working in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

 Ana is a Lecturer in the Political Science Department at California State University, Los Angeles, and an Adjunct Professor at East Los Angeles College. In September 2019, Ana was appointed by California Governor Gavin Newsom to serve on the California Law Review Commission. Ana has an MBA from the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. Ana obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology with highest honors from U.C. Berkeley, and a Joint Masters’ Degree in Public Affairs and Urban and Regional Planning from Princeton University.
